My first milker, and herd queen. Tulip
strongly displays her dairy influence with great length and depth and a lovely topline. She also has excellent maternal instincts, high parasite resistance and is very hardy.
Lavender is a wonderful example of the best traits of both breeds, with a strongly muscled and well balanced frame plus a well attached udder with nicely sized teats. She nursed her last doeling through the winter proving both her maternal and production abilities.
I love my older Boer cross does so much I had to get one more! Joy's dam had the best udder I've ever laid eyes on. While Joy takes after the dairy side her 2015 doeling threw back to the Boer with a nice thick build.
Sweet Pea was added to the herd when my focus was on dairy rather than meat. She has proved herself in that regard with a wonderfully soft udder and ideal teat size. She has filled out nicely showing great strength and depth, and should do well in meat production also.
